Summer Camp

Attendence at summer camp is optional but is highly encouraged as the benenfits are many:

-- The boys will have a lot of fun.

-- They will be among a great deal of other scouts.

-- There are opportunities to learn new skills, working together as a team and earning scout merit badges.

-- It teaches the boy independence.

Camp Specifics:

-- The troop generally goes to Camp Raven Knob, located in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, about 6 hours drive from MHC (transportation to the camp is provided by the troop).

-- The troop generally goes the week of July 29 - August 4.

-- The fee to go is $180, which includes transportation, the campsite, most all activities, food and patches. (In case of financial need the troop may provide assistance with the cost of the camp.)
